Alec
ALEC WAS PISSED. Austin had trounced him at squash again for the third time this week. Something was wrong. Alec was never off his stride and usually wiped his twinâs ass up and down the court. Fuck! He glanced in the mirror, taking in his long, muscular frame. Dark hair slicked back. He tugged at the hem of his French cuffs, the black diamonds staring back at him as if mocking his existence. A reminder of being rejected. And Alec was never rejected.
Until recently. For the first time.
And it smarted.
Alec removed the diamond cuff links and carelessly tossed them into the trash can in the bathroom before loosening his bowtie. Fuck you, Deena. He lifted the Jack and Coke to his reflection, as if saying Cheers! before letting the dark liquid soothe his bruised ego. He sauntered into the living room and glanced around, pacing restlessly. He knew what fantasy would be played out today, and it couldnât come soon enough. He needed to let out this pent-up energy. And there was a lot of it, thanks to Deena.
A quiet chime rang and a soft voice called out to Alec. âSir, your dessert tonight will be served in the formal dining room. You may enter now. A gorgeous spread is all set up for you.â
Alec grinned. Iâm sure it is.
He crossed the room and slid open the nearly ten-foot tall frosted-glass-and-wood pocket doors that led to the dining area. He knew exactly where it was because his father practically owned the place. Each of the Wells sons was gifted lifetime access to the White Room upon graduation, but Alec had also recently joined the team, taking over legal operations with his brother, Asher. His sisterâs godmother, Avaline, wanted to take the business in a new direction and needed fresh blood in all key positions to really make that happen. He wasnât thrilled with his baby sister getting involved in anything having to do with the White Room. But Arianna really seemed to love her new role as director of customer experience.
Alec wished Deena could see him now. Like a freaking boss, he thought, scowling. But he wasnât going to let her get under his skin today. Not when he knew what was in store for him. He took a deep breath and shoved all thoughts of his traitorous ex aside. He was ready for whoever was waiting for him on the other side of the dining room doors.
Or so he thought.
Nothing couldâve prepared him for the gorgeous woman lying on the long table in front of him. Her skin shimmered under the light, warm and brown, a stark contrast against the sterile white of the table. She had strawberries nestled between her legs, covering her sweet center. White rose petals trailed down the length of the table alongside her lithe frame. Even though she was completely naked, Alec couldnât take his eyes off her long, muscular legs. As a once-semipro soccer player, legs were his thing. And feet.
Dear God, her feet.
